anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day - The Movie

Jinta "Jintan" Yadomi (Miyu Irino) is one of five childhood friends who spent a short summer with the ghost of Meiko "Menma" Honma (Ai Kayano), the girl they lost. A year later, Jintan, Anaru, Yukiatsu, Tsuruko and the others each sit down to write her a letter. Tatsuyuki Nagai builds the film from their memories of that summer, and it treats grief as a weight friends carry together and keep returning to.
