Koichi Sakakibara (Kento Yamazaki) transfers into a junior high school in the middle of the year and wants to understand why his classmates avoid one girl and speak of her as if she isn't there. That girl is Mei Misaki (Ai Hashimoto), and she seems to hold the key to a chain of deaths the school won't discuss. Takeshi Furusawa builds the film from Yukito Ayatsuji's novel, and every answer Koichi gets puts him closer to the next death.
