“At this wedding, the F-word stands for Family”

A wedding weekend fills the Annapolis estate of Lynn's parents, and the whole family has driven in for it. Lynn (Ellen Barkin) arrives already wound tight, with her son Elliot (Ezra Miller) beside her and her mother, Doris Baker (Ellen Burstyn), watching from across the room. Sam Levinson's first feature keeps Lynn and Elliot close together through the long days, two people defending each other against everyone else.
