Anthony Adverse

“The thrill of thrills the world could not forget!”

At the turn of the 18th century, an infant is left at a convent by his nobleman father, Don Luis, and grows up to be Anthony Adverse (Fredric March). His grandfather, John Bonnyfeather (Edmund Gwenn), takes him in, and Anthony falls for Angela Guiseppe (Olivia de Havilland). Mervyn LeRoy follows the two as circumstances pull them apart and Anthony sets out on a long journey, set on finding his way back to her.
