“The Good is the Evil in It”

In 2005, a sleepy rural community outside Berlin is shaken by the murder of a young boy. Michael Martens (Wotan Wilke Möhring), a farmer and police officer, is pulled into the case just as the notorious killer Gabriel Engel (André Hennicke) is captured. Christian Alvart builds a story around the belief that the worst acts can be explained, and what it costs to go looking for the answer.
