Antichrist

“Chaos reigns.”

A married couple retreats to a remote cabin to process the accidental death of their son. He (Willem Dafoe) wants to help her (Charlotte Gainsbourg) move through grief with talk and reason, but she descends into violent sexual behavior and self-harm. As they stay longer in isolation, the woods themselves seem to turn hostile, and the stakes of their survival begin to slip beyond either of their control.
