Antigone

When police shoot her brother Étéocle (Hakim Brahimi) and arrest her other brother Polynice (Rawad El-Zein), Antigone Hipponome (Nahéma Ricci) sets out to get him free. She is a young woman in a refugee family in Montreal, with her sister Ismène (Nour Belkhiria) beside her. Sophie Deraspe sets Sophocles in the city today, and the old argument over law and loyalty plays out among immigrants who have far more to lose than most.
