Any Number Can Win

(1963)Directed by Henri Verneuil122 minCrime
“Don't tell the ending...nobody'll ever believe you!”

Charles (Jean Gabin) walks out of prison and turns down the quiet, respectable life his wife Ginette (Viviane Romance) has mapped out for him. Instead he brings in Francis (Alain Delon), a younger man he knew in his cell, to help him crack the vault of a Cannes casino. Henri Verneuil lets the preparation take its time, and the older thief and his partner begin to lean on each other.
