Deunan Knute (Ai Kobayashi) is a soldier in ESWAT, the elite force that Olympus sends wherever trouble starts, and she works beside her partner Briareos (Koichi Yamadera). Shinji Aramaki, directing the sequel to his 2004 film, sets her against cyborg terrorists, nanotech zealots and rioting citizens as a stealth attack closes around the city. Deunan stands in the middle of it, rifle up, the whole of Olympus coming apart around her.
