Appointment with Death

“An invitation to murder!”

A holiday party of Europeans and Americans travels to the Holy Land, and one of them is found dead at a dig. The woman is Emily Boynton (Piper Laurie), a stepmother who has held her three children and her daughter-in-law Nadine (Carrie Fisher) under her thumb for years. Michael Winner sends Hercule Poirot (Peter Ustinov) in to question them, and the film keeps asking how far a family will go to get free of one person.
