Apt Pupil

“If you don't believe in the existence of evil, you've got a lot to learn”

Todd Bowden (Brad Renfro) is a bright California high school student in 1984 who has read everything he can find about Nazism. When he recognizes an old man in his neighborhood as the wanted war criminal Kurt Dussander (Ian McKellen), he waits a month and then knocks on the door. Bryan Singer lets the two of them settle into a routine of stories and demands, and Todd keeps on asking for more.
