Beneath the ocean surface, seven underwater kingdoms exist in shadow, each ruled by its own crown. Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa), a half-human foundling raised on land, must claim his throne in Atlantis and stop his brother King Orm (Patrick Wilson) from destroying the surface. Mera (Amber Heard), a princess of the seas, guides him through trenches and ancient ruins, and what begins as duty becomes love.
