Arabesque

Nobody in this film can quite reach the person they want. Şener (Şener Şen) and Müjde (Müjde Ar) are kept apart by one misunderstanding after another, and each failed meeting nudges them further into the plaintive world of arabesque music. Ertem Eğilmez, making his last film, sets their longing against the songs that give it a voice, and the two remain pulled toward each other across every obstacle.
