Arcane Sorcerer

Giacomo (Stefano Dionisi) is a seminary student in 18th-century Italy, turned out by his church and left with nowhere to go. He takes refuge with Achille Ropa Sanuti (Carlo Cecchi), a priest excommunicated for his practices, who agrees to teach him wizardry and black magic. Pupi Avati sets the lessons in a world where the Church has already cast Giacomo out, so the stakes are his soul.
