Arctic

“Survival is the only option.”

Overgård (Mads Mikkelsen) has been stranded in the Arctic since his plane went down, living at a camp where he scratches a huge SOS into the snow and waits. Joe Penna keeps the film almost wordless, and Overgård's rescue is lost when a helicopter crash leaves a Young Woman (Maria Thelma Smáradóttir) badly injured. He must choose between staying put, where his supplies hold, and dragging her across ground he has never crossed, with no certainty anyone is out there.
