Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret.

“Discovering who you are is a journey that lasts a lifetime.”

Margaret Simon (Abby Ryder Fortson) is eleven when her family leaves New York City for New Jersey, and she begins talking to God in private, asking questions she can't put to anyone else. Kelly Fremon Craig follows her through a new school, a new friend in Nancy Wheeler (Elle Graham), and the visits of her grandmother Sylvia (Kathy Bates). Underneath it all is a girl wondering when her body and her sense of belonging will start to change.
