Armageddon

A Texas-sized asteroid is eight days from Earth, and NASA's only option is to land a team on it and plant a nuclear device. Harry S. Stamper (Bruce Willis), a gruff deep-core oil driller, is recruited to lead the mission with his crew. Bay launches them into space with the same breakneck pace as a heist, cutting between the asteroid's shadow growing across the night sky and the astronauts strapped into their seats.
