Armageddon

An asteroid the size of Texas is on a collision course with Earth, and NASA's Dan Truman (Billy Bob Thornton) has one answer: drill into it and set off a nuclear bomb. He turns to Harry S. Stamper (Bruce Willis), the best deep-core driller there is, who will go only if his own crew comes too. Michael Bay keeps A.J. Frost (Ben Affleck) close to Harry's daughter Grace (Liv Tyler), whom Harry wants kept far from him.
