Army of Shadows

“Betrayal. Loyalty. Collaboration. Resistance.”

Someone inside the network has given Philippe Gerbier (Lino Ventura) to the Germans, and he lands in a prison camp in occupied France. Jean-Pierre Melville follows him back into the Resistance in Marseilles, where he works alongside Luc Jardie (Paul Meurisse) and Mathilde (Simone Signoret) and trusts nobody completely. The war here is a quiet one, fought through suspicion, and every ally is also a possible leak.
