Around the World in 80 Days

“It's a wonderful world, if you'll only take the time to go around it!”

Phileas Fogg (David Niven) is a precise English gentleman who bets his fellow club members that he can circle the globe in eighty days, a stretch that sounds close to impossible in his era. With his valet Passepartout (Cantinflas) beside him, he sets out at once, and Mr. Fix (Robert Newton) soon begins trailing them. Michael Anderson films the whole trip on a very large scale, packing the screen with crowds, costumes and far-off places.
