Arsène Lupin

The Duke of Charmerace (John Barrymore) moves through the salons of Paris in evening dress, well liked by the same rich families a thief known as Arsène Lupin keeps robbing. Jack Conway sets him against Detective Guerchard (Lionel Barrymore), who believes he knows Lupin's real name and has a secret weapon ready to prove it. Both brothers play to the back row, in a story where stealing from the wealthy is treated as the best game in the city.
