As I Open My Eyes

Farah (Baya Medhaffer) is eighteen, just out of school in Tunis in the summer of 2010, and her family already has her down as a future doctor. She would rather sing in a political rock band, drink with friends and walk the city at night, while her mother Hayet (Ghalia Ben Ali) watches with the wariness of someone who knows what Tunisia can do. Leyla Bouzid, in her first feature, follows Farah out into those dark streets.
