Ashby

“Life is about knowing how to take a hit.”

A school assignment sends Ed Wallis (Nat Wolff), the new kid in town, next door to interview the neighbor he knows least about. Ashby Holt (Mickey Rourke) turns out to be a retired CIA assassin, and he is also dying. Ashby takes the boy on as an unlikely friend, and Ed, between a newly single mother (Sarah Silverman) and a classmate named Eloise (Emma Roberts), has to work out what that is worth to him.
