Assassination

In 1863, American warships are approaching Japan, and a ronin named Hachiro Kiyokawa (Tetsuro Tamba) has become a figure that both the Shogunate and the empire want to understand. Masahiro Shinoda follows the men circling him, among them Lord Matsudaira (Eiji Okada) and Premier Itakura (Eitarō Ozawa), each unsure whose side he is really on. Oren (Shima Iwashita) stands closest to him, and what passes between them is never fully spoken.
