“Unite and fight.”

On New Year's Eve, Sergeant Jake Roenick (Ethan Hawke) is working the last night of a Detroit police station due to close for good. Then armed men surround the building, hunting the mobster Marion Bishop (Laurence Fishburne), who is locked in a cell inside. Richet leaves Jake no choice but to hand the prisoners guns, and the cop and the crime boss have to trust each other before sunrise.
