Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra

“The funniest film in ancient history!”

Cleopatra (Monica Bellucci) bets Julius Caesar (Alain Chabat) that the Egyptians can raise him a palace in three months. Her architect Numérobis (Jamel Debbouze) has no hope of finishing it alone, so he sends for Astérix (Christian Clavier) and Obélix (Gérard Depardieu), the two Gauls with the magic potion. Chabat filmed the most expensive French production to date, and Obélix fills the desert frame, a huge man in striped trousers, planted in the sand.
