At Close Range

“Like father. Like son. Like hell.”

Brad Whitewood Jr. (Sean Penn) is a young man in rural Pennsylvania with few prospects and a mother who wants him nowhere near his father. He goes looking for Brad Sr. (Christopher Walken) anyway, the head of a gang of thieves working out of a nearby town. James Foley, working from a screenplay based on a real Pennsylvania crime family, sets up the pull between father and son, with Brad Sr. offering the one thing the boy has always been missing.
