“Keep the world laughing!”

Jeff Wilson (Kenny Baker) owns a small circus and has until the end of the week to pay his partner Carter $10,000. Then the money is stolen, and Antonio Pirelli (Chico Marx), Punchy (Harpo Marx) and the fast-talking lawyer J. Cheever Loophole (Groucho Marx) set out to find the thief. Edward Buzzell stages the hunt among the tents and animals, while Groucho sings "Lydia the Tattooed Lady" in a bright coat, the band playing behind him.
