Nobody at the factory saw it coming. The managers had promised 1,100 employees their jobs were safe, and then announced the plant was closing anyway. Laurent Amédéo (Vincent Lindon) steps up to lead the workers' fight against the decision, and Stéphane Brizé, shooting in the manner of a documentary, follows him into the meeting rooms and onto the picket line, where he keeps arguing with the plant manager and the administrative director.
