At War with the Army

(1950)Directed by Hal Walker93 minComedy, War
“America's Funniest Guys are G.I.s!”

An Army post in 1950, where two men who once worked nightclubs as a double act now live under rank. Sergeant Puccinelli (Dean Martin) is bored with his desk job and keeps angling for a transfer to active duty overseas, while Private First Class Korwin (Jerry Lewis) only wants a pass to see his wife and new baby. Hal Walker directs, and the joke running underneath is that the man giving the orders used to share a stage with the man taking them.
