A young boy is dead, and no one will say how it happened. Abdel (Dali Benssalah), a soldier home from service, has hours to face a family pulling apart, while his brother Karim (Sami Slimane) wants answers of a different kind. The youngest of three brothers, he leaves the other two to deal with the aftermath. Gavras stages the night in long, restless takes that never let the camera stand still.
