“Every love story is a ghost story.”

In a suburb of Dakar, the men who built a glossy tower for a boss who never paid them leave one night by boat and do not come back. Ada (Mame Bineta Sane) is promised to a rich man while her real love, Souleimane (Ibrahima Traore), is among the missing, and Mati Diop follows her through the weeks that come after. The film ends on Ada herself, still waiting by the water for him.
