Lorraine Broughton (Charlize Theron), an undercover MI6 agent, lands in Berlin during the Cold War to find out who killed a fellow agent and to recover a missing list of double agents. David Leitch, who adapted the graphic novel The Coldest City for the screen, pairs her with the Berlin station chief David Percival (James McAvoy). Everyone she meets is working an angle, and she has to decide who is lying and who is only protecting a secret.
