Attack the Block

“Inner City vs. Outer Space”

Moses (John Boyega) and his crew of teenagers want one thing on Guy Fawkes Night, and that is to be left alone to run their South London estate. Then a creature drops from the sky into a parked car, and Sam (Jodie Whittaker), a nurse they mugged that evening, ends up sheltering in the same tower block. Joe Cornish ends on the block itself, its stairwells and walkways lit by fireworks and the flashes of the estate.
