Au Revoir Taipei

Kai (Jack Yao) works the counter at his parents' noodle shop by day and spends his nights in a Taipei bookstore, teaching himself French. His girlfriend has already left for Paris, and she ends things with him over the phone. Arvin Chen follows him through a night of local gangsters, a mysterious package, and a girl named Susie (Amber Kuo Tsai-chieh), all of it about the distance between wanting to leave and noticing what is already near.
