Audition
Why would a pair of young men cause trouble for two local orchestras on the eve of a national competition? That is the puzzle in the first half of this Czech picture, shot by Miloš Forman in the plain look of a documentary. The second half follows a talent contest, where one girl freezes with stage fright and another lies to her boss to get there, and the two of them end up side by side in the same room.
