August in the Water

After an accident, Izumi Hazuki (Rena Komine), a teenage girl, finds herself carrying a supernatural power she did not ask for. Around her, Mao Kuwashima (Shinsuke Aoki) and others in her orbit begin to notice that her power has changed her. Gakuryū Ishii treats the supernatural with a plain, unhurried calm, and keeps the story pointed at Izumi's growing sense of where she stands in the universe.
