August Vacation

Nobody on Ventotene can say how it happened, but the house next door to the usual August crowd has been let to a family nobody invited. Paolo Virzì sets the loud, sunburned newcomers down beside Sandro Molino (Silvio Orlando), a journalist who spends every summer here with his progressive, book-reading friends. Sandro came for another quiet August on the island, and he is now forced to share the wall, the heat and the evenings with people he'd never have chosen.
