Ava

Ava (Noée Abita) is thirteen and spending the summer on the Atlantic coast when she learns her eyesight will fail sooner than anyone expected. Her mother Maud (Laure Calamy) decides to carry on as though nothing has changed, while Ava takes her own course and steals a big black dog from a young man on the run. Léa Mysius sets it in the sun-bleached shallows of the coast, where Ava keeps her eyes open against the glare.
