Avalon

“Three generations of family. They shared a dream called America in a place called Avalon.”

Sam Krichinsky (Armin Mueller-Stahl) arrives in America from Poland at the start of the twentieth century and settles in Baltimore with his brothers. Barry Levinson, drawing on his own hometown, follows the family across the decades as Sam's son Jules (Aidan Quinn) and his wife Ann (Elizabeth Perkins) raise children of their own. With each generation the old country grows fainter, and the family risks losing the ties that once held them together.
