Awake

“Every year, one in 700 people wake up during surgery.”

Clay Beresford (Hayden Christensen) is a young man with a failing heart, waiting on a transplant and in love with his girlfriend Sam Lockwood (Jessica Alba). On the operating table, the anesthesia takes his body but leaves his mind awake, and he lies paralyzed, listening to the surgeons talk over him. Joby Harold, in his first film as director, keeps us inside Clay's head for the whole operation.
