Ayla: The Daughter of War

Sergeant Süleyman (İsmail Hacıoğlu) is a Turkish soldier in Korea in 1950, hardened by a war that has taken most of what he had. He finds a little girl alone in the snow, half-frozen, with no parents and no one coming for her, and he breaks the rules to smuggle her into his army base. Can Ulkay keeps the camera close on the small, cold hands wrapped in a soldier's coat.
