Azrael

“Many years after the rapture… Among the survivors, some are driven to renounce their sin of Speech.”

In a world where no one speaks, a devout community lives beside a wilderness it believes holds an ancient evil. Azrael (Samara Weaving) escapes her imprisonment, and Miriam (Vic Carmen Sonne), a believer in the group, hunts her down, then drags her back to be sacrificed. E.L. Katz builds the film around the quiet itself, where faith makes a rule of silence and everyone obeys.
