Azumi (Aya Ueto) is a young assassin trained from childhood to kill for a cause she was raised to believe in. With Nagara (Yuma Ishigaki), she sets out to stop a civil war by hunting down Masayuki Sanada, a man guarded by an army and a dangerous clan. Then she meets Ginkaku (Shun Oguri), who looks so much like her dead friend Nachi that the mission stops being simple, and Shusuke Kaneko leaves her one wrong move from losing the war she is trying to prevent.
