Babar: King of the Elephants

“Long live happiness!”

Young Babar (Kristin Fairlie) is out with his mother in the great forest when a hunter shoots her, and he runs, afraid he will be next. He ends up alone in a human city, where he is taken in by an elderly woman, dressed in fancy suits, and taught to write and count. Raymond Jafelice follows him through his first days of city life, a small elephant in a suit, standing among people who have never seen one up close.
