Bab'Aziz

“To find the beloved, one must have faith”

Once every thirty years, dervishes gather somewhere in the desert, and no one has told the blind Bab'Aziz (Parviz Shahinkhou) exactly where. He sets out on foot with his granddaughter Ishtar (Maryam Hamid), trusting faith to find a meeting place neither of them can see. Nacer Khemir sends them through barren country filmed in Iran and Tunisia, and over the days of walking, Ishtar leads her grandfather forward by the hand.
