In Toyland, a storybook village where nursery-rhyme folk live in the shadow of the old shoe, Ollie Dee (Oliver Hardy) and Stannie Dum (Stan Laurel) work for the toymaker and owe him nothing but trouble. Mother Peep's shoe is mortgaged to the miserly Silas Barnaby (Henry Brandon), and Charley Rogers and Gus Meins send the pair to beg for the money. If they fail, Mother Peep and Little Bo Peep (Charlotte Henry) lose their home.
