It is Christmas Eve and a blizzard is burying the town. Lisa Piper (Drew Barrymore), eleven, has no time for toys, since she spends her days cooking for her mother and minding her siblings. Clive Donner sends her into Toyland just as a wedding is about to start, where young Mary is set to marry the mean old Barnaby Barnacle (Richard Mulligan). Lisa has to decide whether she believes in any of it.
