“JC Wiatt, corporate powerhouse, just received an inheritance. And it sucks.”

A distant relative dies, and J.C. Wiatt (Diane Keaton), a New York executive working toward partner at her firm, inherits his baby girl, Elizabeth. Her live-in boyfriend Steven (Harold Ramis) walks out, and the power lunches now share her days with powdered formula. Charles Shyer keeps the camera close on Keaton as the briefcase gives way to the baby carrier.
