Baby It's You

“There's the first one. There's the right one. And there's the one you never forget.”

In 1966 New Jersey, Jill Rosen (Rosanna Arquette), a high school student with a drama club and a doctor's household behind her, gets noticed by Albert "Sheik" Capadilupo (Vincent Spano), a new kid from the other side of the tracks. John Sayles follows the two of them through their first stretch together, a courtship carried on in hallways and cars. Sheik keeps his hair combed up and his jacket on, and Jill watches him across the school corridor.
