Babylon
Blue (Brinsley Forde), a young man of Jamaican descent in Brixton in 1980, wants to make his name on the mic of a dub sound system and be left alone to do it. Franco Rosso follows him through the days with his friends Beefy (Trevor Laird) and Ronnie (Karl Howman), a lost job, and trouble at home. Under the music, the film says plainly that being a young Black Londoner then meant being watched, hassled and pushed out.
